Orchids

Faux orchid arrangements made by hand in my Toronto studio, each one built for the room it is going in. They need no water and no light, and they hold their colour and shape for years.

I source vintage and one-of-a-kind vases, so no two pieces are quite the same. Want one in your own colours, or in a pot you already own? Start with the six questions here and I will come back to you with a plan.

Prices run from $225 for a small orchid bowl up to $775 for the waterfall piece, with a mini arrangement in a clay vase and a footed bowl in between. If you want something larger, or in a particular colour, a custom orchid arrangement usually lands between $500 and $1,000.

Orchids suit a spot where a real plant would struggle: a powder room with no window, a console in a hallway, a reception desk nobody has time to water. There is no pollen and nothing to look after.
